New Year's - Edinburgh, Scotland

Just got back from Edinburgh's Hogmanay. A big fest they have every year for New Year's Eve. Probably about 150,000 people or more. The just block off the streets downtown and they have multiple stages with different types of music. The wierd thing is that they don't sell any beer. So everyone just brings their own alcohol in plastic coke bottles. And its totally fine. The first night we just went to the bar and ended up hanging out with these crazy Irish guys. They had T Mett drinking beer out of someones shoe. The next day we went and saw the Castle, its situated on the top of a hill in the middle of town, really cool. That night they had an Afore Night Party. Basically, a smaller street fest with a parade and then the World's Largest "Strip the Willow." (Which we forgot about and decide to go to a bar to get a quick beer and by the time we got back had missed it.) But, Z and I did plenty of dancing anyway. The music was just fun, like bagpipe and violin rock band. Then the last night we went to the Hogmanay and just sang song after song as we walked down the street meeting people and getting them to sing with us. At midnight they had fireworks. Overall, Scotland was a blast. Except for the pound, the two for one special was in effect again.
